The Four Pillars of The American Legion

The American Legion's four pillars - Veterans Affairs and Rehabilitation, National Security, Americanism, and Children and Youth - are as relevant today as when our organization was founded in 1919.

These four pillars are what connect Legion Posts from Coast to Coast and all of our overseas Posts as well.  The are the foundation for what we do for veterans, for the youth, support defense, support Americanism, and the community.

Here in Manchester we support each of these pillars with the support of local veterans, either in Manchester or the surrounding communities any way we can.  We support the Boy's State program by sending youth to the yearly convention, along with working with the Auxiliary Unit 102 to support the youth of the community.  We sponsor an American Legion Baseball Team, we honor and remember those who served and sacrificed on Memorial Day along with other patriotic holidays.
